The skabby skrubs have 12 guys on the field after halftime.. Isn't there only suppose to be 11 per team?
They have the ability to field extra Linemen as a team perk... it’s hard for the refs to count Snotlings!
55:31, you blitzed but just ended up movig
49:10 keep an eye on Side Step - the Snotling had a spot he could have jumped to, to avoid a pasting from the crowd - save our Snotlings (SOS)!
Love your work on these - what do you film with?
A Canon XA40
I'm sure it's in the comments somewhere, but you can't use a team re-roll for Regeneration (19:14).
I did it. I bought blood bowl but the 3rd edition with Dark elves and the orcland raiders. So stoked
Take off the mask
It’s the law here mate. No indoor businesses without masks.
5ish mins in on the first drive the black orc player could have surfed on both sides of the pitch with out blitzing with grab.
Great job! Others have pointed out below, but the one thing I didn't see pointed out is Dodge. Can only be used by each player once per team turn. Not that this happened, but his snots fail a dodge and use dodge to reroll it. That snot can no longer use the dodge skill on that same player during the same turn. Once used by that player for the turn it is gone, until next turn. Also the snots on the ball have leap the stitly runners have sprint. Also no penalty for bouncing ball anymore, just tackle zones. I know we are so used to 2016 rules :) Also with Side step you must move to an open space if you can. When you are pushed onto a ball you cannot pick it up, it always bounces. A tie on brillant coaching you both earn a reroll
love the snotlings but when he leaped with the runner i was like nope lets chek the comments XD
Not gonna lie, this game makes me want to run snotlings! This match looked so fun!
Hey guys! Love the Blood Bowl Match Reports, but here's a dose of Rulez Lawyering: Bombardier, Only One player per team turn can perform this action. It's at the end of the first Paragraph. I know this, because I was just shot down in a friendly match... Good Luck Snotlings!!
Nice video. One important comment: if you use side step and there is an empty space you have to go there, you can’t use it to push other miniature. Happen at 1:13:00. Anyway, nice report, other mistakes were silly things👍🏻
Love watching the games, I miss playing and can't wait to get playing this edition.
You can't re-roll the regen roll, cause it wasn't that team's turn and because you cannot re-roll a regen roll. That's Igor's job. ;)
One small rule clarification. Only one bomb can be thrown per turn, regardless of how many bombardiers are on the pitch. On a lighter note, I'm loving the content and gameplay. Keep up the good work!
It was a great report but you keep calling the snotlings goblins and it's driving me nuts!
Love the new bloodbowl content. Just a rules clarification; grab and sidestep negate each other-so it's only a push when you block with your orcs. Also, tell owen he is handicapping himself with 1 troll, he needs to paint that last one up.
Oops my bad. Thanks for clarification. I'm still stuck in last edition.
Grab negates sidestep. Sidestep no longer negates grab.
Orcs and Goblins vs Snotlings seems a perfect thematic match-up for Blood Bowl.
Is it me or the Ork player very serious
More warpstone fueled madness , bring on the gutterrunners !!
I remember when my grandma was still alive , she owned a chair ...... good times
A rule violation on turn one is scatter on perfect weather is just a single space in the direction on the d8 and the d8 is rolled 3 times, similar inaccurate passes in the old edition. BBSS is careful in how it words scatter now, and uses three distinct terms deviate (what is used just after kick off) Scatter (what I wrote above) and bounce (one space in the direction on a d8 but only a single roll)
Fouling with your troll is an interesting choice. Usually one fouls with their least expensive players not their most.
@brachson I would not go that far. I am uglier though
Looks like you’re smarter than the troll. Good job! :)
Hello! I love your videos! I have watched the blood bowl videos that you make a couple of mistakes, I give you the rules that I think you do wrong: - Movement: No matter how many players were Marking them, the dodging player is only required to make one Agility test to Dodge. (Page 45) - Block: The Push Back and POW! block dice results call for the target of a Block action to be ‘pushed back’. The squares a pushed back player can be moved into will depend upon the direction from which the block came, as shown in the diagrams below. (Page 58)
Thy make one check for each square they leave. If they dodge into a square where they are Marked and want to leave it again, they have to dodge again. The teams in this game have _lots_ of players with one of either Sidestep or Grab, both of which alter the way push-backs work.
Loved the game guys! I’m new to Blood Bowl, and I spent the evening painting my Black Orcs and watching this! I appreciate the content, keep it up!
i just got started too and so far im liking the black orcs a lot
black orcs rule
Love to see Blood Bowl! Personally, I don't like the GW d16s since they have 1-8 on the "top" and 9-16 on the "bottom." They just feel less random to me than a die with the sides mixed up.
Hey anyone in the chat let me know your thoughts on a Norse team of Penguins! Found a set of minis and thought Norse would be the perfect team, I personally find the concept fun and hilarious when imagining them drinking ale at halftime
@Dennis Franks I was kind of thinking of either the penguins or going with snotlings. I know they're not the best team for a beginner or even a good team at all, but you gotta love the characters enthusiasm.
Models are nicely sculpted, but are very small for me personally. You can do image searches for size reference, they are easily half the size of the current GW range. I do love greebo as a 3rd party company- pricier, but you get better model diversity and a full roster.
Generally cannot reroll regens since you can only use team rerolls during you turn. I am pretty sure there is a general rule for them like armor rolls.
Missed throws scatter which is the 3d8 thing. I think you can only throw one bomb on a team each turn.
On the opening kick off, the scatter for perfect weather is "scatter" which is a keyword meaning the 3d8's in sequence. It is not a deviate which is the 1d6 in 1d8 direction.
Ah greenskins, always hilarious.
Question about grab, do you move the blocked player to any adjacent square to them, or any adjacent square of the black orcs? For example, can you grab a player and put them behind you?
@MrAstroKai thanks! I really need to pick up the new rule book.
Grab: "...when this player performs a Block Action on its own (but not as part of a Blitz action), if the target is pushed back, this player may choose any unoccupied square adjacent to the target to push that player into."
1 Turn In and good news for Owen he no longer needs to worry about buying another Troll cuz he's getting an Apothecary. Also Owen playing pretty well for what he has, just needs remember how sidestep works (though new grab rules nerfed it).
How many players died this game? Those black orcs really put the blood in blood bowl!
Surprisingly, none. Hell of a lot of Casualties and several Injuries though.
Watching while painting my black orcs. No better evening for me 🏈👍
Love the Blood Bowl content, keep it up! Just learning the game myself so watching tabletop content it a lot of fun! One thing I noticed that I thought I would point out to help others, is that you cannot use Grab or Brawler with an Orc that is blitzing (13:10). These skills only work when the player is standing still.
So many dead Snotlings :o
Owen, you should really ready how sidestep works... you are gutting yourself really. You can go to ANY adjacent square to your player... so you can even move FORWARD next to the person that pushed you... (or smashed you) its an amazing skill, especially when the opponent doesnt have grab.
I guess according to the latest errata, you can use more than one reroll per turn.
@Florian Winter Indeed. You can use as many of our team re-rolls as you like during your turn. Just remember, you can never re-roll a re-roll.
Sorry for the wrong wording, but the rest is correct, isn't it?
Its not an errata, its a rules clarification/FAQ. the only rule so far to have an errata is on Page 61 - Characteristic Reduction-Change the second paragraph to read:In the case of Movement Allowance or Strength, the characteristic is simply reduced by 1. In the case of Agility or Passing Ability, the target number is raised by 1. For example, if a player with AG4+ suffers a Neck Injury, the characteristic would become AG5+. In the case of Armour Value, the target number is lowered by 1. For example, if a player with AV9+ suffers a Head Injury, the characteristic would become AV8+
At minute 49. when you push the snotling with the goblin, since it has sidestep, cant it just come next to you instead of go into the crowd?
@Azrael Rose grab does negate side step, but the rules specify that you can only push into the crowd if there are no unoccupied spaces. Since you are using grab, it was possible to move the snotling next to the goblin.
Oh, I missed that one for some reason I thought it was the Blorc making the Block; Grab negates Sidestep.
" Just keep killing " The official slogan of Blood Bowl.
"Just keep killing just keep killing just keep killing killing killing what do you do you kill kill kill"
Great match report. Something of note, you can actually use as many rerolls per turn as you want in the new season. Link for reference. www.warhammer-community.com/2020/12/08/discover-the-latest-rules-in-blood-bowls-new-faq/
I guess you filmed this before the FAQ but you can now OFFICIALLY (screw the haters) use multiple rerolls per turn... just not on the same dice roll.
Sidestep and Grab cancel each other out, so only standard pushback rules apply.
@Guerrilla Miniature Games I was going to call this a rule error but yes now grab totally negates side step as opposed to just canceling each other.
A lot of subtle changes this season
@Christian Snow ufff that's a hard nerf to side step and silly IMHO... I think cancelling each other out makes sense just completely ignoring it is silly.
@Horhe Vamp pg. 80 of the new rule book says grab cancels side step
@Guerrilla Miniature Games has it changed as well? The rule I have seen is: When this player block results in a push back he choose any empty square adjacent to his opponent to push back his opponent. When making a Block or Blitz Action, Grab and Side Step will cancel each other out and the standard pushback rules apply. Grab will not work if there are no empty adjacent squares. A player with the Grab skill can never learn or gain the Frenzy skill.
The first kickoff; it scatters but you rolled to deviate. Scatter is the one square three times roll.
Also, Brilliant Coaching, Cheering Fans, and the other roll-off events on the kick-off table all have specific results for tied rolls; you don’t roll again until someone wins.
1:13:25 failing to pick up the ball is a turnover if it’s a member of the Active team that fails.
59:50 Cheering Fans is only modified by your Cheerleaders; Fan Factor doesn’t affect it, and FAME doesn’t exist in SSE. Also at 59:58 the Cheering Fans reward is a Prayers to Nuffle roll, not a TRR.
57:35 Grab doesn’t work on a Blitz.
At 52:15 or thereabouts, the only place you can go to stop him sidestepping onto the ball is on the ball; Sidestep is *any* open square adjacent to the player. Direction of the block is irrelevant.
Yay. The black orcs are awesome. Just finished mine. Glad to see it on the channel more.
Great video as usual guys. I have a question about Secret Weapon, it seems as if a roll is being made to see if they stay, the rulebook does not seem to refer to this. It only says that the player is sent of as if they committed a foul. Also, players ejected this way, can they be brought on via the swarming rule in a later drive?
@Azrael Rose yeah I knew that a 6 would change a refs decision. Trouble is, I get 6s when I don't need them and 1s when I do need them 😄
Any Head Coach can Argue the Call when a player is sent off for fouling. It’s easier with bribes and biased referees of course.
Ejected players don’t go to the dugout so swarming won’t bring them back!
Ah, i have just realised it is a bribe being used. I am new to the beautiful game!
I always love to see orcs smashing stuff ;) .... but i would recommend, to position the camera on a tripod and film from the side or a 45° angle ... in the way, it is done now, i tend to get seasick ;)
Been interested in trying this game out. Glad to see the snotlings getting played as them and the halflings are the teams I'm tempted to build and play
@wayner396 Conveniently the teams all have official tiers now so you know how difficult they are to run. Dwarfs are Tier 1, Snotlings are Tier 3.
@wayner396 Just keep in mind that Blood Bowl really shines when you play in a league. Snotlings are apparently a very hard team to manage. I have a human team I never put together. If you are in the states and want deal, PM me and I'd sell you the models at a discount price. Humans are the most straightforward team to play probably, and are actually pretty competitive. Plus if you end up buying dwarfs and/or halflings in the future those same humans can be used in to make an Old-world alliance team (mix of humans, dwarfs, haflings).
@Horhe Vamp thank you for the advice. I'm mostly just playing for fun with my cousin but I'll definitely try to make one serious team as well so that I too may occasionally taste sweet victory 😄
@Azrael Rose thank you, might also do a dwarf team... seems I'm attracted to shorties.
@ratz30 hehehe I must be
GREEEEEEEN IIIIIIIIIIIZ BEEEEEEESSSSTTTTTT!!!!!!!!
If I may suggest, I'd rather have you use a poker chip as a ball token instead of the real ball itself - makes keeping track of it much easier, which leads to a more pleasing watch overall
@Guerrilla Miniature Games The fluorescent orange circle is very helpful and makes me miss the glowing puck.
Just watch as we go on.
