  • Thinking of starting out Blood Bowl as a Skaven. Any tips or tricks?

    • Haha, brown primer will be your friend here 😂👍

    • Not at all!! Go crazy! Design your own colour scheme and make your own team 😍

The Bonehead PodcastThe Bonehead PodcastTháng trước
    • Also is there any set rules on uniform colours for Blood Bowl like with space marine chapter colours or is it just whatever colour takes your fancy?

      Chris KayChris KayTháng trước
    • Fantastic, thank you 😊 I'm mostly in on them because I wanna paint something that's not undead 😂

    • Hey Chris! I absolutely *love* Skaven! Awesome team! Do check out our Starting Rosters video for Skaven teams (viworld.info/rock/video/0pKFtJvJl3qinKs.html) - it’ll talk you through your options! But secondly - Skaven die all the time! Be prepared 😂 but they’re super fast and really flexible!!

  • Really happy I bought a tabletop lizardmen team a year ago :) Also, please may you explain what is meant by "stretch play"? Thanks.

    Benny BartezBenny Bartez2 tháng trước
    • Hey Benny! Yeah! Lizards got even better (and a lot cooler now the Chameleon is worthwhile!). Sure thing, sorry! What I mean by a stretch play is this... A Player with the ball can only move so far - that's it's normal distance. If that's enough for a TD - huzzah! Otherwise -no. Handing off or passing to another player - combines the movement of 2 or 3 players, stretching the play beyond that limit! So having someone within MA+0-2) distance from the EZ allows that stretch play straight to a TD!!

  • Sounds cliche, but if you get a very experienced Dwarf coach, he can make a lot of heads look quite foolish.

    John WilsonJohn Wilson3 tháng trước
    • You're so right, John! Same with Norse coaches - Block and positioning will win more games than high AG!

  • With the new chameleon skinks, suddenly taking catch almost feels better than sure hands for regular skinks. So much the better since catch is an agility skill which skinks have easy access to. What is it 20SPP (I think) for a skink to have dodge, stunty, block and catch...sounds legit to me. The old block/sure hands skink is still solid but that's 30 SPP? For 1/3 less SPP catch, block sounds really solid too. Sure hands feels better on the chameleon along with accurate.

  • Dwarfs, Undead, Humans, Lizardmen, Skaven. I think all the elves are pretty clustered right in the 6-8 slots.

    • Agreed, I can't put any elves in my top 5, not at reasonable/lowish TV. And I'd rate Wood Elves as the worst elves now. There's no more leaping in cages and stealing the ball, and anyone retrieving it and passing it away. Instead on defense it's screens and attrition for up to 8 turns. You still have mighty blow tackle to deal with, diving tackle armbar player could be brutal, and there's more teams who can undercut your expensive elven TV with access to cheap bribes for increased fouling.

      BftBG777BftBG7772 tháng trước
    • Ota, I can't argue with that - they're some excellent teams in this edition!

The Bonehead PodcastThe Bonehead Podcast4 tháng trước
  • I do agree with Lizardmen taking the top spot, Break Tackle did get nerfed badly but ST4 MA 6 still works wonders and now they have a good option on stretch play while others don't as much. I don't know if I agree with Skaven being that much better. Sure there stretch play became better but their Gutter runner BS plays are severely hampered and that always has been their strongest part of the defense. So no, I don't think that Skaven gained as much as Pro Elves did.

  • Was desperately hoping Elves weren't so awful to play against and ridiculously strong in Blood Bowl 2020 but it looks like they're as annoying as ever. I don't think I've ever enjoyed playing against elves.

  • I just realized that your logos look like they're made with placeit. They're pretty good--I made some 'team logos' based on fantasy fiction with them (Rohan Broncos etc.).

  • What's the difference between the tiers?

    HazelVandiceHazelVandice7 tháng trước
    • Hey HazelVandice - literally nothing at all in the rule book! It’s a starting point for coaches maybe? I think they look a little wonky in places!

The Bonehead PodcastThe Bonehead Podcast7 tháng trước
  • You guys seams to forget, that chosen skill will much more expensive in TV wise, that more important then SPP cost.

    Sebastian RomeroSebastian Romero7 tháng trước
    • @Edward Green yeah, when I run a league I don't think that I would allow skill grinding. I haven't looked at the season restart but as long as players will become more expensive the more seasons they get under their belt. But it's a terrible design idea to allow a single random roll to benefit greatly to certain players, like skinks, which can get easily enough SPP to make a gamble and still make most of the results they get. I need to check the odds but their seem a lot of general skills which are useful to a Lizardmen team. Allowing at half TV and more punishing, at half SPP?

Joris Vander CammenJoris Vander Cammen4 tháng trước
    • @Edward Green that's going to only happen in the online ladder, which gets reset often and people need to grind a good record too since the number of games are limited. In leagues you could only reset between seasons and that's kind of counter productive most of the time. Also leagues could police or house rule skill grinding.

      noamtonoamto4 tháng trước
    • Oof, I hadn’t even started to think about that! But yeah, you’re right!

The Bonehead PodcastThe Bonehead Podcast6 tháng trước
    • Think the real problem (online anyway.) will be people grinding out the random skills. So you could have two identical teams at very different TV's.

      Edward GreenEdward Green6 tháng trước
    • Hey Sebastian, that’s a really really good point - but I think at the start of a teams life it’s important to get the skills that you need, rather than risk bloating with skills you don’t!

  • This list is just a badly timed April Fools joke, no Snotlings on nr. 1?! Not even on the list?! You just haven't been fungus'd enough my man

  • Nice video. I think you really nailed it with Lizardmen. They are super strong and everything that did hurt them got worse. IMO that's why random MVP is a good thing. With the D3 MVP, Lizardmen are ridiculously OP.

    Massimo RolliMassimo Rolli7 tháng trước
    • Dont feel like they are OP. D3 MVP helps a lot of team. When you know how to play agains Lizards, you can take them out pretty easy

      Liquid DudeLiquid Dude7 tháng trước
    • @Matt Ellis Agreed. If it was like that It would be good. The coach nominating the 3 is the thing I don't like. Too advantageous to some races.

      Massimo RolliMassimo Rolli7 tháng trước
    • @Matt Ellis It would be cool if the MVP somehow mimicked real football. What I have seen in my league unfortunately is that the nominees have nothing to do do with the games, but are always the hardest to skill or the closest to skill.... which is not so fluffy. Like a saurus that was nominated 15 times out of 15 games. 2 casualties in a league and 5 MVPs.... :(

      Massimo RolliMassimo Rolli7 tháng trước
    • @The Bonehead Podcast And now Lizardmen CAN pass.

    Liquid DudeLiquid Dude7 tháng trước
    • Stunty has changed in the new edition. It no longers makes passing the ball harder, it just makes the intercept roll easier.Chameleon skins actually pass on a 3+.
