    • @Dimension D yeah, I just remember at the end of the year 3 vid hearing about year 4, and was like, "oh yay, more" but now I'm genuinely confused about it, because every person I've every known has said there were 4 years (at least the ones that I can trust and are reliable, and not just "oh this is what happened" when "what happened" was a depressing amount of false info, in which there were several times when kamino was referenced as kashykk) so now, I have no idea what to think. hmmmmm. hmmmmmm....... hmmmmm...... (if anyone gets that dialogue reference I will send them a tie armada, if gen tech/alan and others let me)

  • Never understood why the republic didn’t mass reprogram battle droids and commandeer enemy ships. Repossessing enemy tech and using it in mass would be an awesome way to save money on clones and infiltrating enemy forces.

  • The Toydrain king made the right choice, putting his people's safety and pledging neutrality

    Flynn WhimsterFlynn Whimster8 ngày trước
  • Poor Padme, she has no idea that she's being played with, just like every other idealist movement. Guess that means Palpatine saw her as a threat/great tool/annoyance after all

    Flynn WhimsterFlynn Whimster8 ngày trước
  • Cut did the right thing, deserting his cause to raise a family. He was lucky that Rex didn't rat him out. I heard about many cases during WWI where people were shot for doing just so. Another reason why that particular war, next to the ones Vietnam, Iran, Afganistan, Bosnia, the Latin American Revolutions, and WWII was so messed up beyond recongnition

    Flynn WhimsterFlynn Whimster9 ngày trước
  • The lesson is: don't join up for war at all, regardless of your social norms are either strength or passiveness. The best you can do is at least defend your community, provide relief efforts for the innocent victims on both sides and come up with strategies to end the war and bring the profiteers and warmongers to justice.

  • The Kool-Aid man tangent 😂 I can tell this has been haunting you for some time! “When I was growing up it wasn’t oh be careful of what you post on social media. It was more like ‘Hey, drink your powdered sugary water or else the Kool-Aid man is going to burst through you wall and kill you and then drink your blood’. That was a serious concern for me as a child. So when people ask me, you know, ‘Alan, are we better off today than we were 10 years ago?’ I say yes, definitely”.

  • I don't know if the part about the Talz was properly researched or if you let your own bias get in the way of accurately describing the situation. While not as advanced as the Pantoran's they were still sentient beings that were surviving on their homeworld. That does not equate them to being savage's, but having a different way of life. The bases that were placed there were most likely seen as invader's, and when something or someone threatens your home with unknown technology most people have a fight or flight response rather then a 'lets talk peacefully with these unfamiliar beings' reaction. For example, let's say a monster of smaller size but with odd clothing appeared in your home, and started to do odd, unfamiliar actions. You would either run to find more people to help you remove of the monster, or you would fight against them for whatever they are doing to your home Chairman Chi Cho had already created a bias and narrative in his head that these aliens on the planet were invaders, hostile, feral beasts that needed to be taken down. That is what makes this arc so special, because it shows peoples unfamiliar to us are still people, they are still sentient. Just because they are different or unfamiliar, does not mean that they are inherently hostile. Look at the culture of the people rather then the difference in appearances, and there will often times be a lot of overlap and possibility for peace and growth in there Also one more example just for reference that culture has more of an impact then inherent genetics when it comes to personality and acting in the Star Wars mythos - Togrutan's are a rather peaceful nation, idealistic people who put more into arts, music and drama rather then warfare and strength, I believe they don't even have a standing army according to the mythos. Ahsoka is brash, eager for action and quick to fight, nothing like the rest of the Togrutan's. It is the culture that makes a person. That's why humans don't have a natural way they act either, it's because every sentient race has their own personality, culture and sense of being, they are all unique and individual, the race does not define who or what a person is TLDR: I didn't like how he essentially stereotyped and agreed that the Talz were beast invaders who clearly didn't have an idea of the international landscape and how he stereotypes entire races so I went into explaining why he was wrong

The war only lasted 3 years, doesnt that mean that they only made the first generation, then built more just in case and never used them while senators were trying to bolster the effort asking for more that would never see the light of day?

  • Why is Allen so convinced that Binks is a Sith Lord? He mentions this in several episodes of Generation Tech. First off the Sith operate in Twos, no more no less but Binks is alone (as far as if he was a Sith) and second he doesn't try to topple the other Sith Lords or gain any real power. Yes he is a representative of the Gungans but he doesn't even try to gain more power and was simply fooled into supporting the war. You never here him talk about gaining any further power or attempting to assassinate anyone with more power. At best Binks unknowingly has some force abilities that help him survive dangerous situations.Sith lord, not a chance.

  • I will say, In-Universe, the Military Creation Act was desperately needed. War was coming, thanks to Palpy and his master Plagueis. If war was declared the Republic could only fight a defensive war via Planetary Defense Forces. Padme and her allies were way too naive in this movie to see the consequences that were obvious even without knowing Palps was a Sith Lord controlling both sides.
