  • 24:28 I think it would be slightly weird if Tony saw Cap get deployed with only a bike and a frisbee without saying anything. Of course, he'd want to equip everyone. But I agree Cap is the most appealing when he is working with the bare essentials. What could have been cool is that 90-year-old Cap was too much of a boomer that he can't operate the missile launcher. It missed the target and Cap decides to take it down by hand.

  • My father once gathered up all of my comic books, put them in a box, and put them in the coset. Except for the Captain America books. He told me a lot of people are going to tell you horrible things about America. When they do, think of Captain America. He's full of America juice. They put it in his blood. It wasn't until much later that I realized that Steve was always full of America juice. It's a shame we stopped making it. Now we drink the same stuff as the Nazis and call it progressivism.

  • I grew up on superheroes, comics and superhero movies. So much so that my dad used to read his comic collection to when I was 3 😂😁. I saw all of the mcu movies and loved all of phase one, two and the beginning of three but the main thing that kept me watching was captain America he was the person I aspired to be I remember I was in elementary school when civil war came out and I got mad when kids said iron man was gonna win because they didn't look at the true person just the flashy cg lasers, they never saw the moments that Iron man gave up on something and the times captain America had to deal with worse and still kept going. I was in such a "I told you so" moment when the movie came out and cap won.

  • As for the costumes, my favorite will always be the WWII suit. It isn't the best looking, perhaps; but it is one of the most practical looking one. Its the uniform of a soldier, back when he was absolutely a soldier. Plus, its the one I remember the best growing up. Cap was one of my favorites, and it was terrific to see him on the screen.

  • Steve doesn't have an arc, except becoming more matute as a leader, because he is a Paragon. He is the pinnacle of an ideal, and thus changes the world around him. This is best seen in Winter Soldier when he defines Nick Fury in stating that SHIELD will go down with Hydra, and he gets everyone in the room to agree with him, even Maria Hill. All Nick can do is concede that Steve is now calling the shots.

If we valued the cultivated power that we have made with our democracy instead of used our power to bully the world. That we would use that power when it was asked, we wouldn’t tweet about it to foreign leaders.

  • I think you should give red skull more credit. His plan was world domination not just "bombing the allies". He was detaching from the nazis/Hitler because he didn't believe in their ideology and he was smart enough to understand if he was to continue to associate with them the allies would come for him next. He was letting the allies destroy Hitler and in turn he would destroy the allies thus having little opposition on his world conquest. That was my understanding anyway, been a while since I watched the movie

  • The best thing that happened to the MCU was when the Russo brothers took over. The franchise was going downhill fast. Coming off of the heels of Ironman 3 and Thor: The Dark World, my expectations for The Winter Soldier were extremely low. Then I saw the movie, and my mind was completely blown. I saw it five times in theaters, bought it on digital and Blu Ray, and watched it another fifteen or sixteen times. It is one of my favorite action movies. It took Cap from being everyone's least favorite avenger to everyone's favorite in just one movie. And then the Russos breathed a much needed new life into the entire MCU. Without them, I think the MCU would have died.

  • Chris evans is a perfect cast it’s not a strange thing for marvel to cast the perfect actors for the role thor BW and of course ironman but chris role is the hardest as captain America is really boring in the comic books he was just a propaganda and the first film recognized that and used it perfectly Chris added vulnerability and a conflict he isn’t a good guy to the core he is a normal guy like anyone but has the will to always do the right thing which is perfect a good guy for the sake of it is boring but a guy who struggles but overcome all the hardships to do the right thing is a hero and a great one indeed Finally I think that’s what makes the MCU way better than the DCEU the spot on casting and there chemistry and compatibility together as I think DC have the better stories and the better characters heroes and villains (no one cared about thor and ironman before the MCU) but they lack the chemistry between characters and they didn’t cast the best actors

But as time goes on he realizes more and more that he's able to achieve UNCANNY feats and is INDEED superhuman.

  • I know you mentioned it in this, and endgame solidified it. But Sam Wilson is a much bigger figure than, in my opinion, alot of people realise. He helped Steve grow, no gives him some of that lost 'self' that he was missing. Being ex-miliatry, and medically discharged, so it wasn't my choice to leave, similar to how Cap loses everything he had, it genuinely makes me smile everytime I watch the movie and he runs past Sam and the beginning and Sam is sat with him at the end.
