In truth, I'm intimidated by the price of the models and how much of them I have to buy it get a satisfying army going, and painting my models. I really don't want to mess it up but I also don't want to pay someone to do it for me.
Can you make one of these for 9th edition?
epic
Boring.
Imperial guard really suck basically
Could y’all do some game reports with retro minis?
1,000,000 Views! You deserve every one, Guy!
-me i am a dumb. too much to bother with. i'll stay with my mtg cards. fast & efficient. me likes.
how many points worth of models are in this?
Only nerds play this shit.
Which Ork kits did you use to make your Ork boys?
0:22 Is the same bait that drug dealers used to use: "you only need a few things, chances are you might already have the se lying around: you need a lighter and a coca cola bottle and a few straws"
a few 6 sided dice *laughs in ork*
9:31 When The Boys and you get a new member.
This is going to hit 1m views soon. Congratulations on your (soon to be) first 1m views video.
So, why has no one made an app that you can load the base data in and then have it make all the rolls? You could spend a lot more time playing and a lot less time grinding through tables and rolls.
I havent played in years this was helpful!
Fake rolls! haha had to watch a million times for that no six
just a little QUESTION or 2 please, to anyone who can help me.. I love to make small diorama's and would love to try my hand at this! I know nothing of this game, I Love ALL THE GOODIES, The minis all them Buildings and such you guys always BUILD! I use to be into D&D, Long Long x 1000 time ago. And I am kind of a loner so Any Tips on where I can go to get some info on this... I would be so thankful!
This was the video that got me into 40K a year ago. Thank you
17:30 SUPPRESSIVE FIRE!!!
I last played a WH40k game over two decades ago. The rules seem straightforward. And you explained them well.
haha forgeworld prices go brrrrrr
this is what separates the big nerds from the little ones. I was thinking about getting into this but I only got a B in calculus...
The rules change that much even the basics I feel sorry for new players
Too bad the models are expensive
Why use a pen to point stuff on the most important part of the game - the Manual, that is supposed to cover a lifetime? You can always use pebbles instead of the figures, but without the manual you can't play the game
why doesnt the battle primer link work
Soooo useful
fuck yeah thank you for this now i know that i want to stick to underworlds and not play warhammer 40k
I love the app been grinding it out a lot
Thank god for video games
Me and my friend just got the table top version, and are still setting it up. Is there anything we should know?
This game has a lot of maths involved....I'm not very smart. Guess I'll play something else
Wow, a tutorial without space marines. Neat
This was so awesome, man. Thanks so much. I have watched this video 20 times to learn how to play!
me, who knows how to play and just came for the battle report like format
I think they need to open a how to play war hammer in college
How much does the new(ish) round-based Age of Sigmar ruleset differ from 40K now? Last time I played any WFB it was all about formation depth and rotation angles...
have no idea how they can make a game so complicated 😅
idek what this is but it was in my recommended LOL
You should the Astra Militarum Start Collecting Box
This is very helpful I'm going to be starting an Astra Militarum army becasue they're cheap and I'm basic
I wish I would’ve had this video back in 2012 when my dorm mates were trying to get me into the game. Better late than never!
so........ this game is the proto rts game ?
Much better to line up your two armies, then throw dice at each other's troops while making "pew pew" and "dakka dakka" noises. Pro tip - make sure you varnish your minis. 😁
this is one of the best tutorials i've seen in general
Yeah see the problem with this is that I know hot to play I just don't have the hundreds of dollars it costs for armies
Very helpful thanks. I used to collect these models about 20 years ago and never really played due to not knowing how to. Now I’m considering getting back into it. Cheers
Where is the button that when pressed screams ' FOR THE EMPEROR '.
*Thank you for making this .*
Nice vid. Even though rolling a 8 on a D6 is really possible if the Emperor Allows...
Even without the possibility of parole I wouldn't have time for this.
Every How to Play Warhammer 4K Video length: 2hrs 45min long
Great video! Really starting to consider getting into it! Just the problem with the situation in the world rn, yikes.
This game does seem interesting but at the same time too much work to really be fun
Your dice rolling method triggers me pretty hard! ROLL the damn dice, don’t gently lay them on the table!😂
How to play Warhammer 40k for Beginners: Mail all your paychecks to games Workshop.
wow this was what I was looking for 20 years ago haha! Now I'm too old to get into this :d
moooooooore!
Cool
Too complicated for a board game, luckily only ruler is needed, not microscope to see where bullet hit.
Why for the love of God?!?!
In October I got heavily into 40k with some friends. This is the second video I saw(bricky's all 40k factions explained being the first),afterwards I saw this video and got me heavily into 40k,I love mid winter minis battle reports, painting sessions and Deathmatch tournaments
Best video thus far. Thank you for your time.
i have found that if ya paint ya boiz blu bs then stands for bullshit if its misses
As someone who has never played, this makes no sense. Ha, all your army is killed. Oh wait, there is this one guy over here that we ignored the entire time and he has special rolls to kill everyone and win the game, even though we were told at the beginning that there was nobody in the game who could do this.
I found some 1996 chaos space marines for only 20 dollars might buy them any chance you’ll make a video on second edition
Always wanted to know how this game was played, it is far too much maths and in and outs for me. The models are cool as shit though. It would be cool if there was an App to deal with all the maths and equation's. The more I watch the more I am amazed people actually play this game, so many numbers and maths.
All that time painting for that gameplay.... I’d rather paint the models honestly just to have fun.
Man and Women of love to other great warhammer chanel... call up for Arch chanel! Send reports to youtube for that delete action!
Knowing how to play vs actually having the $$$ to play it, nice vid regardless
The psychic ability that thing was using should of only killed one of them it say until you fail to cause a mortal wound or the enemy unit is destroyed and he killed that unit so it should end, right?
do you like warhammer and dr phil?? then look nowhere else except here, for having a go at this fancy 4k DR PHILL WARHAMMER CROSSOVER POSTER!!! www.redbubble.com/i/tapestry/Warhammer-40k-Dr-Phil-by-Kritsini/61551398.PCFHB
Can we get one for sigmar?
I think i missed what determines what three orcs to lose. Is it the orc player, the 'human' player, or is it dice based? I am guessing it has a consequence as they have different weapons. Can someone explain that to me?
complex but interesting. I like it
What a fantastic video! I used to play a decade ago but this has refreshed my memory well and showed some important differences to the 5th edition that I used to play.
Wow, kind of slow but, it's really fun
9th edition video coming by any chance?
older :(
Hello.. can you show us a How to play 9th Edition? Happy new year.. greetings from Vienna 🇦🇹🇦🇹🇦🇹
I started out with a Dark Eldar starter set. I want to say that back then that it was around 90$ US. Came with Wyches, Kabalite Warriors, a Raider, Venom and Reavers, I think anyway. Then there were the paints. Ever try keeping those around for any length of time without the pigment settling and turning to shit? Well I've had some of those paints for up to 7 years now. Trick is to keep them stirred once a month at least. I lost several hundred in paints before I started taking my hobby seriously, anyway... After I got done with that set, I'd saved some money and next I got another Venom and some Wyches, then a Razorwing Jetfighter. Anyway, I guess that the point was that it didn't come all at once. I focused on the model aspect first and built my army over a few years. I have several thousand worth of 40k minis in paints and another few thousand still in the box awaiting paint. You might say I'm rich, but that's not the case. It's just my hobby and whether or not I'm painting, I always put a 10$ bill o the side each week to save for the next cool thing that Games Workshop puts out. Now, both of my daughters also are into 40k now as we use it to find a reason to get together on the weekends to spend time together. Now when we sit around the table chatting it up it includes colorful phrase's like pass the Waz(Wazdakka Red) bitch or such like that. April is currently into Necrons while Willow has taken to the Eldar. Like I said, my main interest is Dark Eldar, but I also paint and collect Imperium, and Daemons and crafting my own battlefields. In all it's cost a small fortune but it's amassed over time. Let's face it, one daughter works at a toothpaste factory and the other is a house keeper, not very high paying job but even they have tucked that 10 dollars away a week and now on the weekends, we all have a hobby we enjoy while the boys are out at the target range. We have been trying to get them hooked but we think that'll happen when we begin the war gaming aspect of 40k.We think that'll get hubby and the son-in-laws roped in. That's what brought me to this video, beginning to learn the game play and yes, we all have the books to play and even though I like reading it's a bit more complicated than video tutorials that you can play along with and go through the paces. Trying to find areal combat tutorials because the Dark Eldar air units are just plain badass. Currently I own 2 flights of DA Razorwings and Voidravens in Shroud formations, 2 VR and 2 RW per flight, 5 flights of Venoms. Add to that the Raiders, Reavers, Ravagers, Scourges, Hellions and then there are the ground units. Yeah, I'm ready to take my fight to the air war front! :P Any chance for a tutorial featuring Dark Eldar??? I'd certainly love to learn how to use my arsenal of models.
It's a great simplified way of demonstrating how to play. Awesome. :)
This game will be more fun without the tape and just use some kind of board that someone can print it or just buy it to move the units.
Theses things are plastic and they won't a lot of money for a piss of plastic FUCK THAT.
Update on my last comment: I went with Tau.
I clicked on this thinking it was a game😂 and not a for beginners🤦♂️
you lost me at "inches"... ridiculous form of measuring
*Humies.*
would you be interested for doing something like this for 9th edition?
Are you gonna do a ninth ed of this? or is it the same?
Was not expecting the bull shit comment. I got caught
Thank you for the video! I got my first Warhammer set today to get started. Based on the video game looks like combination of chess with random dice rolling. I was expecting those terrain obstacles to impact line of sight but it would make game much more complicated. I will have to read the rule book and codex to understand the game better.
Well actually terrain does,in most cases
When I was younger RPGs and the like looked fun and were fun. Now they look like...chores? Folks that like the game: "Now, roll the dice again, for.." Me: God. Again? Like, roll them again??. What the hell.
It's like gambling for nerds
But the click clack sounds make me happy
I played 40k and fantasy as a kid and i still think the game still is too convoluted. They had a good shot to trim the fat from the game and lower the barrier to entry for an already intense hobby. but seeing things like overwatch just seems overkill. I mean to hit, to wound, AND to save? Rolling distance for charges? These just feel like things that could be taken out to not make it 3 hours a game.
Can i use centimeters?
Nope.
It would take me 6month to complete one game lol
Too many dice rolls. Bolt Action took out some and then A song of Fire and Ice took out even more ... The system is too cumbersome instead of enjoying the minis you just keep rolling dice all the time ...
@Supreme Tarantula Sorcerer rolling dice? There is Yahtzee for that :)))))
But that's the fun part?
Good times. I used to play in High School, had a small army kit but with some expensive pieces like the Steam Tank (Metal). Was just starting out. Managed to play ONCE before my 'friend' stole everything from me with the pretense of ''I'mma paint your stuff if you want, I could use the practice''. Good times.
green skin
*humie*
