Subbed! 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks a million man 😊!
Hello Marco! What would you use instead of Flesh Tint? There is no way to get this in my current location (and it appears that neither in amazon). Thanks in advance!!!!
@MarcoFrisoniNJM Thank you for your answer! Keep it up with your videos! You're an inspiration for us! ;)
Hi! You can use any light and pale flesh tone you have in your collection. I like Flesh tint ink just because I can use it in the airbrush straight from the bottle 😅
MATE YOUR WORK LOOKS AMAZING! THOSE EFFECTS LOOKS FANTASTIC!!! It is quite inspiring how you can create those green highlights... do you teach online how to paint like that?
Really loved this method. Will be taking tips for painting not only this warband, but my entire dark elf army too :D
Stunningly beautiful paintjobs. Literally getting excited watching this.
when you use the airbrush, do you adjust back for the PSI so that way you dont spray heavly. For instance, at 6:40 when you use the magenta on the purple wash i know that you get the airbrush close to the model, but are you adjust the pressure on the compressor so that way you dont shoot out too much at one time, or is it just your ability to know how to use the lever on the airbrush itself that you are doing it with?
How did you base the models? They seem to have a lot of extra detail!!
Recently discovered this channel. Binge watched it all! Marco, you are an absolute inspiration and I can`t thank you enough for laying open all those secret tricks and techniques. Thanks to you I finally was brave enough to try some oil colors! I`m going to start a Drukhari army in a similar paint scheme to these Shadowstalkers :D I have one big question though: Is there a secret in using the Molotow colors for base coating? Got the purple One4all and it sprays lovely with the airbrush… but the color chips like crazy. On my test GW Spacemarines, it basically comes off as soon as the model gets touched a little. I washed them with soap and tested them again, but no difference… Feels not as ideal as a basecoat, to be honest…
When ll you paint some orks? Greenskins need a tutorial
Marco, how'd you do the base part of the green for those magic/crossbow guys? Was it just some contrast paint over white or something?
@killroy v2 Yep! I need only a super simple base over the zenithal because I already have the basic modulation. Then it's just a matter of adding complexity adding tones and the extremes of that modulation
@MarcoFrisoniNJM awesome, that's what I kinda thought it was! Same thing for the brown, just some of the brown contrast paints I assume?
Oh yeah, it the base was a single pass of contrast warp lightning!
I need to ask / find out, what dilution and products did you use to get your Army Painter Purple Tone to that kind of transparency and ease of movement? I've got their full range, and often dilute them, but i've never seen them act quite as nicely as yours did!
Maybe I am just blind, but I can’t seem to find what color you used to base the green on the weapons? I can only find the fluorescent highligh step, and i am totally in love (read it with your own voice) with the contrast Green/Purple. Did anyone else spot what green is used? I am guessing something like Warp lightning!
@MarcoFrisoniNJM thanks for responding so quickly! :)
I confirm, I used a single coat of Warp Lightning 😊!
Plz Teach me non-metallic metals with oils please Sensei.
Hay Marco loved the video not sure if I missed it but what is the 1st green you put down for some of the weapons/glow
Thanks for the reply. I just signed up for patron Im thinking about doing this for drukhari
Thanks man! It's a single coat of contrast warp lightning 😊
A sweet looking group of models, Marco. Thanks for sharing.
Can you tell me the base colour of your whip, Sword etc. The green one^^
It's a single pass of contrast warp lightning!
Lovely vid, Only thing I’d suggest, On the next ones slow down the pictures cycling through. I want to look at those lovely miniatures dammit!😂👏🏼👏🏼
@MarcoFrisoniNJM I know but I like hearing you talk about it all whilst looking at them! Pause is booooooring 😁😁
Thanks a million! You just need to click pause 😂😉😂 (kidding 😉)
They're simply beautiful
Mi stupisci sempre, ogni video è sempre un piacere e uno spettacolo, sei un grande!!
Everytime you say "tabletop" or "speed painting", I can't help but hear Dr. Evil say it in my head 😂😂😂
Muahaha muahahahaha muahahahhahahahaaha 😂
Wow, this is fantastic! Masterful usage of contrast paints, now I want to give them a try.
Do you do commission work??
I love those shallow mixing dishes you have. What are they called? I have searched various places for something like that, but no luck yet.
I think maybe I found them. Makeup mixing dishes?
Great stuff!! I definitely picked up a couple of airbrush ideas to figure out how to apply to my next army color scheme and save time.
Perfect timing mate... thanks for another cracking tutorial
Folks, if you watched this and think it helped your approach to handling a tranition from shadow to something more supernatural, or you just found the way Marco combined airbrushing and brushwork for efficient fast painting at a really high standard then hit the like button! Costs nothing and makes a huge difference to a youtube channel, if just a few more folks remembered to it would impact the whole project and the man simply deserves it.
@Tim Thornton Cool Tim, it's the 19,000+, more than 90% of the viewers that didn't that honestly baffle me. You can see the effect of Marco's vids in everything I paint now
Mate, I hit the like button as soon as Marco says hello
😍😍😍 I love you man!
Once again speed paint better than my "master piece". When I saw that magical flame, then I immediately want to try it on my brimstone horrors.
I've look at molotow "primer" and... nowhere it seems to have the mention that it's a primer. Just "ink". Is it like a polyurethane primer?
I simply use black (and every other tone) from the One4All line. Molotow paints are made for street art and they are incredibly tough making them great primers
Great video man. I think I'm going to give this a go. You recommend using the exact range of paints you used?
Came back for the Warcry speed paint...stayed for the 'ello guys'. Another masterclass thanks
How do you like Golden Fluorescent Blue? I bought Vallejo Fluorescent Blue but it was too dark for my liking.
It's awesome! Check my video of the grimdark Ultramarine, I use fluorescent blue for the armour 😊
awesome
Yeah yeah, catacombs is cool and all, but when are you going to paint the splintered fang?
I've gotten an airbrush and I'm excited to follow along, but I find my inks never seem to stick to the model. As soon as other paint touches it, it runs, even if I'm leaving it overnight. Any tips on what I'm doing wrong?
Amazing work!! Thank you so much for the inspiration!
love how the capes look.. :-*
The Molotow one4all line looks really great -- awesome that you can use it as primer, too! Great video as always, you always inspire me to paint some minis!
As always, you have totally exploding my mind with your technique ! Glad to see you, when I've see the notification from your new video, I've just realised that your weekly video missed me ! Thanks to you, now I can paint more miniature with less time ! (5 mini on a week with a average 2h/day) I hope you are well, you and your family :)
Awesome scheme i am using similar to your COrvus cabal paint scheme on my dark eldar any chance you could do some videos for some more 40k start collecting sets greetings from Canada btw hope yall are staying safe!
Loved the look you got out of the gold, particularly in the dark pictures, it caught just enough light to draw attention. You said it was just because the original coat got hit with the varnish layer then you highlighted over that?
Hi Marco I'm absolutely loving your channel! I've learnt more in the last two days than the last ten years lol. I was wondering if you could give some advice on which paints to buy? A local art shop has a set of six 60ml Golden Heavy Acrylics for a good price but I was wondering if the consistency would be an issue and as a beginner whether I should opt for more thinned down paints. P.S. I'm buying a wet palette and some satin medium. Thanks!
This is great, I think I'm gonna use that scheme for my future Drukhari army
NIce. Send this to Miniac who spent 24 hours effort "speed painting"!
Are these molotov paints just as tough as primers? Would love to see reviews of you used paints and tools more in detail!
@ikkiiiieee you're welcome ! the best varnishes in the game are the AK interactive airbrush line :)
@Alexis Mongin Now I wonder about their varnishes! Thanks alot for the extensive explanation, appreciate it :) Wish you a fine day sir. Edit: sad, no refills for varnish :(
@ikkiiiieee the black has a slight warm shine to it, but it's very much more matte than any satin blacks.
@Alexis Mongin will look into them, however you say they are matte, but the black looks more satin?
I use them routinely (in fact I haven't used another primer since discovering them) and I can tell you: yes. They're made for outside urban art and to be applied on any kind of support (bendy plastic, metals, leather...) and resisting the weather, which I hope your minis won't have to. They're extremely tough. Super uv resistant as well. Super matte, super saturated colors, cover anything in one pass, they're a delight. The danger is that they're so good, they go extremely thin in the airbrush and will perfectly cover the plastic after one extremely thin layer, which can be fragile, so be sure to apply at least 2 coats. You can see Marco blasting away at the priming stage in this vid.
@elminiaturista here: absorbing knowledge mode ON ! :DD
You never cease to amaze, Marco. Thank you for your brilliant work! Out of curiosity, which color green did you use to base coat the magical flames/energy?
This is one of my favorite paint schemes you've put out. Looks incredible.
Marco, your work never fails to fill me with joy and admiration in equal measure. It is always such a pleasure to see a real artist doing his thing and sharing his obvious skill and enthusiasm so generously.
Thank you soooooo much man!!!
impazzisco uno degli speedpaint migliori mai visti Marco numero unoooooooooo
😍😁😍 Grazie mille 😘
Welp, not only do I need to try this technique, but I also need this warband, if only to use them to convert my Anvilguard.
Very enjoyable as always 👍
Amazing as always! Can’t wait to see your take on the scions of the flame
Thanks!!! Next week will about the Scions 😁😉
Thanks Marco
Stop being a wizard
😁😂😁
Suuuuper awesome! The video dropped perfectly timed with the arrival of my own Shadowstalkers
Man, you are such an inspiration! Love all your Warcry videos and all the rest!! Learning from you step by step to slay the grey!! Cheers from Czech Republic!!
For years I've been looking for a scheme for my Chaos Marines, and there it is. I wanted something "shadowy" but not the too classic black-dark. Thank you Marco!!
Those are gorgeous looking minis by the time you've finished wth them.
wow. Dude is a true artist.
.....Are you the Ezio of minis???....
Marco, Stuart Semple offers some incredible paint and powders like your iridescent and the pinkest pink and the blackest gold or even the flattest black at www.culturehustleusa.com/. He has been in a battle with artist Anish Kapoor over the worlds blackest paint. Being the artist you are , you maybe interested.
Ciao Marco! It is great that you left the sound of the airbrush while spraying so we can hear the sound of you spraying small bursts instead of of longer sprays. I'll definitely try to spray like this...and I hope to improve my accuracy :)
Just. Insane.
Glad to see you again, really nice video. I think your explanations on color choices are one of my favorite things on the channel. It really helps me to build personal paint schemes that are structured. Thanks ;)
Great video and amazing work as always! I always thought that a proper primer paint like Vallejo Surface Primer was needed for the first step, do you find the Molotow paints do just as good a job?
love this series, great job Marco. Hopefully you continue with Necromunda as well, the CGC speed paint was eye opening, would love to see your take on something like the escher.
Hello MARRRCCOOOOOO! Another great vid thank you :)
You are definitely one of the most charming painters on VIworld. Every time I hear you say "Hello" it brings a smile to my face.
Every video starts with ‘hello guuyyyssaa’ always upbeat 😁
Outstanding Paintjob, as usual ;) Would you be interested in doing an interview with the legendary Vince Venturella ? I asked him and he said he would love to :)
That would make for a great "Interview with the Artist" video.
The explanation of how fabrics behave in light and how this can be simulated with painting techniques that use the finish of particular paints/inks is inspired! 🤯 Thank you so much for this, as always! 🙏
Man, I need to take a minute to digest the mastery in airbrush control you show at 6:14 Quite impressive as usual, you're always as eye opening as ever about the use of transparency. Thanks a lot.
The gang was amazing!! Waiting for the second one from the starter🤟
Hi. I echo the comments. These are without doubt my favourite videos. I bet Mrs Frizoni likes the sexy voice but not all the snott 🤣 Question. Have you ever used the metallic inks? Would they be good for doing a quick base layer on large numbers of minis, for speed painting?
Also just found this channel, and it's awesome. Object source lighting has so far eluded me, but that green fire from the hand is definitely my #minipaintingoals !
Very cool : )
Great stuff friend
I've been wondering where you had been hiding at. You left us all in withdraw 😂 super awesome paint scheme, as usual. I looooooove those capes.. super dope!
Excellent work as always God bless you and yours!!!
Very nice!
Are you selling these by chance?
Believe Mr Marco had a bambino! Your work is fantastic. Your one of the reasons I got back into modelling after a hiatus of 35 years! LOL
Hnnnnnnnnng. Gimme those Scions of the flame
good to have you back man! i see you painted with lots of inks again. my inks are really easy to get scratched off or just rub off while handling the minis, i got the same liquitex inks and also use an airbrush. i also use the same Molotow primer. any idea whats going on? and maybe how to prevent that? :) so far i tried mixing varnish in it or doing a full coat of varnish, but it seems fine on yours without that.
It's Thanksgiving and I'm thankful for Marco :) Thanks as always for sharing your amazing work! I always learn something :)
Glad to know that the rest of the Golden fluorescents are good. I've been looking for good fluorescent paints, as I want to make a tron themed tau kill team. Will have fun experimenting.
Good to have you back Marco, looking forward to the Scions!
Paint Jesus is back ! You really make my life easier. Thanks to you I improved my level of painting. Not by spending more time, but by working in a smarter way, trying new techniques and tools (oils, inks, art level spraypaint...). Thanks a million !
two weeks of suffering is over, and what a fabulous video to come back with!!!Love the capes, me's a thinking that would look awesome as the colour scheme for Emperors Children armour...go on, we need a chaos space marine on the channel!
Once again, this is pure gold! I'm definitely going to try and incorporate the matte/gloss contrast idea into something I'm working on!
bravo!!!
Hope it's just a cold! Sanitate!
Beautiful, educational and inspiring. Great video and great minis thank you^^
Looks amazing as always! I was just curious what needle size and air pressure you were using with the airbrush? I know I'll have to find the exact formula that works for me, but I was hoping you could give me a good starting point?
@MarcoFrisoniNJM thank you so much! I just got my airbrush a couple months ago, so I'm still figuring it out. That info is very helpful, and I'll ho check out your other video tonight. I'm sure your a very busy guy, but if your at all interested in giving me some more pointers I follow you on Instagram, I'm Armstrongminiatures9. Thanks for your help. Keep up the amazing work, your a huge inspiration.
Thanks! I always work with a 0.2 needle; 0.3 doesn't handle well fine details and I find that 0.15 creates more troubles than advantages. I usually spray with a medium high pressure of 2.5/2.7 bar; the high pressure creates a steady and precise beam of paint easier to direct precisely where you need. Check my airbrushing playlist for more information 😉
Your super positive attitude is infectious. I love your videos, and you are an extremely talented painter. Keep up the great work.
😊 Thanks a million man!
Deam
Le me: it's not possible to apply a 3 separate colours modulation in just 2 steps! Marco: I'm gonna do what's called a pro-gamer move...
😂😂😂
this models are amazing and as i mentioned before the painting scheme you used give me huge illidari vibes. The moment you added magenta to the purple it made it instantly come to life, changing the colour slightly but upping the value a lot more i think (something im still learning from all the fantastic colour theory videos). I hope we soon get to see another of your amazing oil paiting miniatures and with alot of colour mixing in it!.
Excellent
I had a different impression of what was going to be in this video. Still very useful, still top notch quality. Could you maybe do something on painting figures in low lights? How does one maintain contrast and how far do you take your highlights under, say, moonlight?
Thanks! That's an interesting topic that I only superficially touched in the Corvus Cabal video and deserves to be expanded!
Excellent, my dude! I've been looking forward to this.
