    • What about turning it into a little hub that can send the signal over radio so you can transmit to as many speakers and sub-woofers as you want with a signal receiver for each unit? :D I hope anyone can give me some tips on this! :)

  • Those are NOT IN ANY WAY cheap speakers, lest anyone be mistaken. € 74,95 for one subwoofer, € 15,95 for one full-range, so a total of € 90,90 per speaker or € 181,80 for two units as shown in the video, and not in stock when I looked. Also also, European shipping to USA and possible Brexidiocy for anyone in England or vice versa. Alternate sourcing in USA is questionable, but they're made in Asia so _might_ be cheaper there.

    • @kcgunesq I agree. Some times the learning is the value you get. But I don't think this one is one of those projects. (Unless you have most of that stuff laying around already)

    • While I can appreciate how this might be a fun project, there isn't any way the juice is worth the squeeze for anything other than just the hobby or learning aspect.

  • Original idea and perfectly realized. The speakers have an awesome look. It is just too bad that as of 2021 everything is so small and inaccessible for an electronics engineer. But that is my gripe, not criticizing the project.

  • I'm curious why you decided to use an active crossover and not use a passive crossover after amplification it would have been much simpler it's literally capacitor for the high-end and an inductor for the low-end?

    Jonathan HughesJonathan HughesNgày trước
  • This is a lovely build. The only thing I think is a negative compared to shop bought units would be the battery pack. Aside from the lack of a battery low type indicator (would the Bluetooth pairing show this on the paired device such as a mobile as the phone would see the speakers as a pair of Samsung headphones ?) - I think having to undo 8 fully tightened wood screws and use a battery charger would be a pain compared to a shop bought unit with USB recharging capability. The above isn't criticism at all, I think the build is amazing - Im just saying as I'm aware you often revisit and "upgrade" your builds - this is the only bit I would change. Is the sound volume controlled entirely by the Bluetooth connected device ?
